Saturday May 12th Medical Imaging Nurses, Trauma/Roadside to Bedside Workshop!
Our last workshop.
Although in our respective radiology departments, trauma may play a small part, some radiology departments play a huge role & in fact 'lead the way' in the care of critically injured patients. In this workshop, you will hear from those leaders in the field of Trauma Care & we will learn of their co-ordinated, holistic approach & how we, in radiology fit in the process.
Sudhakar Rao is Consultant Trauma Surgeon in RPH & is the Leader of the Trauma Service. Since 1994 the Trauma Registry was established & has grown considerably since then......Do check out the amazing work that the RPH Trauma Registry does!! http://www.rph.wa.gov.au/traumaservices.html
Paramedical Officer who will enlighten us of their work & care of patients from "Roadside to Bedside"
James Rippey(or one of his Team) is Consultant Trauma Physician SCGH & is leader of his team who co-ordinates 'Fast Diagnostic Ultrasound' & initiates the emergency imaging required in Trauma victims
Interventional Radiologist who will speak on the role of the radiologist & imaging staff in the shared treatment of trauma patients
