Experienced Registered Nurses – Uniting Care Medical Imaging
The Wesley Hospital and Saint Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane

Uniting Care Medical Imaging is part of the I-MED Network, Australia's largest private diagnostic imaging network. The Medical Imaging Department provides imaging services for both inpatient and outpatients across a range of modalities which include General X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Digital Subtraction Angiography, Nuclear Medicine and PET. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced registered nurses who are motivated, energetic and passionate about service excellence and patient care to join our team.

We currently have positions in a full time, part time, and casual capacity across our Wesley Medical Imaging and St Andrew’s Medical Imaging sites. You will be required to work Monday to Friday across all shifts and to participate in an on-call and weekend rotation service.

Key accountabilities include:
• Preparation of patients for investigative/diagnostic scans and procedures
• Assisting in procedural interventions eg. Scrub/scout/administer and monitor sedation for complex diagnostic and radiology procedures which include: Angiograms, Embolisations, Insertion/Removal of Central Venous Access Devices, Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management treatments
• General nursing and perioperative procedural work in various modalities
• Managing patients post procedures. Contributing to positive patient outcomes by utilizing advanced nursing knowledge and skills

To be successful in this role you will have:
• Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• Ability to wear lead gowns (to maintain radiation safety) for long periods daily while assisting with interventional procedures
• Ability to work in all areas of the medical imaging department
• Ability to work a flexible roster across both sites

Desirable but Not Essential:
• Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing/PACU
• ALS Competency
• Anaesthetic Experience
